Team

I am always happy to hear from prospective PhD students and postdoctoral researchers interested in text adaptation, readability, Welsh language technology, or NLP for education and social good. I look for a background in NLP, machine learning, or computational linguistics; Welsh-language skills are a plus for the Welsh NLP projects, but not a requirement for the others. Cardiff University runs periodic PhD funding competitions (e.g. School and University-level scholarships), and I am also happy to discuss other funding routes, including self-funded and external scholarship applications.

If you are interested, please email me with your CV and a short paragraph on your research interests and how they connect to my work.
